What can I say but, IT'S UZW again. Well Folks, this has to be one of if not the most exciting Club Z events of the year. This is Club Z's long standing tradition. This time around, Kevin Neely and myself had the pleasure and the privilege of organizing this event. Many months of planning, lost sleep, and nail biting have finally culminated in another successful UZW. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Greddy cancelled out on our tour of their facility. We had this tour confirmed for 2 months prior, but they cancelled on us the week before. They said they couldn't take care of us because of the upcoming SEMA show. They just didn't have the time. I would like to thank Justin at Motorex for allowing us to tour their facility again on such short notice. We were in dire straits trying to figure out how to fill the void.
We met in front of the Starbucks in Pleasanton off Hacienda at around 6 AM. Kevin, Mike P., Roddy, Jose, Benson, Nicole, Eric, Jon and his girlfriend, Roy, Darryl, and myself braved the early morning hours to be there. After introducing ourselves, some of us grabbed wake up juice and some pastries. We left at 6:30 AM to head down to Southern California. We met Dale along the way after a gas stop.
Kevin's car in all of its glory under the sunrise.
Jon and his girlfriend flying down the 5.
Jose, Benson, and Roddy in the chase car, actually, the rental car.
We finally pulled over for some lunch at the Buckhorn Family Restaurant in Lebec and socialized a bit over some breakfast/ lunch.
Jose, Roddy, and Benson, with Eric intently studying the menu for something tasty.
Eric, Nicole, myself, and Darryl. We get a separate check thank you.
After we finished lunch, we jumped back on the 5 for the drive to Motorex. Ian Fry met us as we passed Magic Mountain. Suprisingly enough, we were able to avoid heavy traffic, probably because we were down in Southern California at an early hour. There was a little bit of traffic on the 405, but we were able to stay together as a group. We arrived at Motorex around 1PM. Mike M. was there waiting for us as well as Kyle and Yuichi of ZDriver.com fame. I don't have to tell you how much drooling was taking place here. There were at least three brand spanking new Skyline R34s in the garage-- two blue ones and one silver one.
Skylines... need we say more. A picture is worth a thousand words, in this case, a million words.
Once you order the Skyline, you just need to pick and choose your modifications.

Smile Maya, you are on Club Z candid camera.
